For this complex Illustration I started with a reference picture of one lava lamp. They were my favorite thing as a kid, So I wanted to recreate not only the physical product, but the vibe it brings. After creating the initial lamp, I copied and pasted 2 more. From there I made different versions of "lava" that moved within them. After, I decided to lookup free standing lava patterns and placed each one around the artboard. To make it look 3d, I used different shading and colors to mimic balls.
